PRIVATE DOG TRAINING:
DO YOU NEED PROFESSIONAL HELP?
Are you feeling overwhelmed by your dog's issues? Have you been trying to fix the problem on your own and constantly read, "Consult with a professional," in your dog training books?
If so, private dog training may for you.
Whether your dog's behavioral problems are aggression or separation anxiety, sometimes a group class is inappropriate for your particular training need. Or perhaps you merely have a specific issue you'd like addressed, like housebreaking or pulling on leash.
As opposed to a group class, you have my undivided attention in a private session. In the initial behavioral consultation, I will do a behavioral evaluation on your dog, discuss your training goals and expectations for your dog, and explain the best training course-of-action. A 90-minute behavioral consultation costs $150.
WHAT ISSUES CAN I HELP WITH?
The below list describe some of the behavioral issues I can help you with (if you don't see your dog's issue, please ask!):
Jumping
Pulling on Leash
General Fearfulness and/or Fear Aggression
Territorial or Dominance Aggression
Resource Guarding
- Separation Anxiety
Puppy Training & Socialization
Play Biting & Chewing
Housebreaking
REGULAR ONE-ON-ONE TRAINING OR OWNER-AWAY DAY TRAINING?
After the initial behavioral consultation, you will be able to choose from two types of private training:
One-on-One Training
This is the traditional private training where I come to your home and work personally with you.
I will demonstrate training techniques and guide you in performing the training yourself. This training is ideal for clients who have the time to train their dogs--they just need guidance and coaching in order to achieve their goals.

Owner-Away Day Training
This is for people who don't have the time necessary to achieve their training goals for their dogs. Perhaps you have a new puppy and need help with potty training and socialization, but you work eight hours a day and just want to play and bond with your dog when you come home.
In Owner-Away Day Training, I come to your house and train your dog for you, whether it's a brand-new puppy or a reactive dog who barks and growls at other dogs on walks.
During the training session, I can put your dog through his training paces in the comfort of his own home; take him on socialization field trips; or teach him to walk calmly in your own neighborhood. After each session, I will email you a session report to keep you updated on your dog's progress, and we will meet periodically to transfer your dog's new skills onto you.
Rates to address most behavioral problems are:
Remember, Owner-Away Day Training MUST first have a one-hour behavioral consultation to establish training goals and discuss training techniques. Multiple-session packages must be paid in full during the initial consultation, and all subsequent sessions must be scheduled and completed within six months of the first training session.
